GTRA-2022

The Department of Applied Sciences, Indian Institute of Information Technology Allahabad (IIIT-A) is going to organise an online workshop on Group Theory and Related Areas during November 14, 2022 - November 16, 2022. The concept of group theory is central to abstract algebra and it was developed in search of solutions to polynomial equations of degrees greater than 4. Number theory, theory of algebraic equations, and geometry are the three main sources of group theory. The methods of group theory have influenced many parts of algebra. Group theory has lots of applications in different areas of science and engineering like physics, chemistry, cryptography, coding theory, etc. The main aim of this workshop is to systematically discuss current research development in various areas of group theory and its applications. We expect that this workshop will deepen existing concepts, foster new interactions, and will motivate young students toward research in this area.
